International exchange of experience with participation of a professor from Kemyong University

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Nauryzbay Seitkalievich Baikadamov, received Professor Sangsu Kim from Kemyong University of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, opportunities for implementing future joint projects, organizing additional courses, and short-term programs were discussed. The parties expressed mutual interest in expanding academic cooperation and developing student and faculty exchange programs. In addition, Kemyong University presented draft agreements on student exchange and dual degree programs.

Professor Sangsu Kim from Kemyong University of the Republic of Korea visited the university on April 6th and 7th to conduct the "Korean Grammar as a Foreign Language" course in an offline format for students of the "Two Foreign Languages (English - Korean)" educational program, as well as to get to know the students better.

This one-semester course was organized online in February with the support of the Korea Foundation, based on an agreement between Korkyt Ata University and Kemyong University. Over two days, 56 first and second-year students attended three lectures by the professor on Korean grammar.

During the lectures, Professor Sangsu Kim explained effective ways to master Korean grammar structures as a foreign language, combining theoretical knowledge with practical tasks. The classes were held in an interactive format.

Furthermore, the professor spoke in detail about the cultural aspects of learning the Korean language and shared interesting information about the language environment and education system in Korea. During the lectures, there was an open discussion with the students, during which they asked their questions and received information about future study opportunities in Korea. Professor Sangsu Kim highly praised the students' activity and noted his readiness for further development of international academic ties.

The professor also brought flashcards and brochures dedicated to Kemyong University's Korean language program from Korea as gifts for each student, providing them with the opportunity to get acquainted with additional learning materials.

The event supported the advancement of students' professional and language abilities, alongside enhancing international cooperation and cultivating intercultural relationships.
