Science Week: Resource saving with a help of modern technologies

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University hosted a significant event that served as a platform for uniting science and technology. A scientific and practical seminar on the theme "Resource-saving technologies: modern approaches and development prospects" brought together the university's faculty, young scientists, and students.

Participants of the seminar were presented with information on the strategic importance of resource saving in the modern world, and concrete examples of modern IT solutions and environmental projects were demonstrated.

Topics related to the capabilities of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT) generated particular interest. Vivid examples were provided on how time and funds can be saved in the implementation of medical projects using Nocode platforms. Furthermore, issues of automating diagnostics through the analysis of medical images using machine learning were discussed comprehensively.

Current problems of rice cultivation and water usage relevant to the Syrdarya region were also addressed. Young scientists and doctoral students proposed ways to improve water-saving technologies in rice cultivation in the Aral Sea region, as well as methods for obtaining useful products from agricultural waste. A project on processing rice husks to produce catalysts used in petrochemistry received high praise from attendees.

Besides, students presented their web prototypes based on IoT technologies at the seminar, showcasing the digital potential of future specialists.

The event concluded with a Q&A session in a format of free exchange of opinions. This seminar was a significant event that contributed to enhancing the university's scientific potential and gave new impetus to young researchers.
