FROM KOREA TELECOM CORPORATION ARRIVES SPECIAL DELEGATION

A delegation from the South Korean telecommunications company visited Korkyt Ata University. The leading telecommunications company representatives of the Republic of Korea were met by the Chairman of the Board – Rector Nauryzbay Baikadamov. He acquainted the guests with the university's rich history, its achievements, and infrastructure projects. 

The East Asian guests admired the fifth academic facility and were impressed by the collection of rare books. They paid special attention to a multi-volume collection written in Old Korean in the 18th century, noting its historical value.

The visitors from the Korean Peninsula also visited the Madelkhan Naliyev’s museum of water management. Besides, they were presented with engineering laboratory work, the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Institute, student scientific projects, and the innovative initiatives of "Kyzylorda Hub".

At the official meeting, Chairman of the Board – Rector Nauryzbay Baikadamov emphasized that the university's founding history is closely linked to the relocation of the Far Eastern Korean Pedagogical Institute to Kyzylorda in 1937. The Rector also highlighted the importance of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and South Korea, underscoring the more than 30 years of trusting diplomatic relations between the two countries. 

Mr. Han Dong-gun, on behalf of the Korean delegation, presented an overview of the Korean Republic’s history and its main development directions. The Korean side expressed interest in establishing long-term cooperation with the university. 

During the meeting, the leaders of the leading telecommunications company of Korea and the Hong Bum Do Society discussed the organization of a joint summer school, the launch of language learning programs, and the implementation of scholarship projects for students.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to implement joint projects in the fields of education, science and culture, expressing intention to strengthen their partnership in the future.
