PRACTICE AND SOCIAL MISSION OF THE STUDENT LEGAL CLINIC

The “Student Legal Clinic” has been actively operating within the framework of the “Law” educational program since 2015.

The director of the legal clinic is Zhana Amandykkyzy Isaeva, Ph.D. in Law and Associate Professor.

Nowadays the Legal Clinic consists of 28 constant members and faculty staff. They are outstanding students who have achieved significant success not only in the field of law, but also in sports, science, and social activities.

The Legal Clinic collaborates with 6 government bodies and law enforcement agencies, which has provided an opportunity to exchange experience and contribute to solving real legal issues. From May 2025 to May 2026, the clinic organized 18 legal awareness events and provided 98 free legal services to the public within the scope of its activities. The level of public satisfaction with the services reached 97.8%, with 49 out of 50 respondents giving a positive assessment of the clinic’s work. Besides, approximately 20–25 new citizens apply to the Legal Clinic each month. These indicators demonstrate the clinic’s significant role in society and the high level of public trust.

University legal clinics make a significant contribution to protecting citizens’ rights, improving legal literacy, ensuring social justice, and providing practical training for future lawyers. Therefore, legal clinics are one of the important institutions that ensure citizens’ access to qualified legal assistance.
