THE SIGNIFICANCE OF FORENSIC EXPERTISE IN LEGAL PRACTICE: A KEY TOPIC FOR A PRACTICAL SESSION FOR FUTURE LAWYERS

A round table discussion on the theme "75 years of development of the scientific and theoretical foundations of forensic expertise" was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The event was organized by the university's "Jurisprudence" educational program.

Yerkemay Saniyazova, Head of the "Jurisprudence" educational program, delivered a speech focusing on the significance, achievements, and development directions of the field of forensic expertise at the meeting. Besides, she highlighted the effectiveness of the dual education system and its role in training future specialists.

Mainura Buribayeva, Board Member of the university – Vice-Rector for research and international relations, spoke about the history and structure of the Forensic Expertise Institute, particularly emphasizing the close connection between Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and the Forensic Expertise Institute at the opening of the event. Approximately 500 students are enrolled in the "Jurisprudence" program at the university currently. Most of them undergo practical training at the Institute of Forensic Expertise, enhancing their professional qualifications.

Yerzhan Primbetov, Director of the Kyzylorda Regional Institute of Forensic Expertise, presented a report on "The development of forensic expertise: 75 years of experience and continuity", discussing the activities of 17 regional and 3 city forensic expertise institutions in the country and the work of forensic experts.

Furthermore, Azamat Urnaliyev, Deputy Director of the Institute, delivered a report on "Achievements of fire expertise in the disclosure and investigation of crimes", noting that one of the main principles of expert activity is independence. He emphasized the need for further development in the field of forensic expertise. 

During the meeting, Serik Tokatayev, Acting Deputy Director of the Kyzylorda Regional Institute of Forensic Expertise for Forensic Medicine, and Ganibek Syrmagambetuly, Senior Lecturer at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and Candidate of Legal Sciences, presented reports on the interrelationship between investigation and forensic expertise, as well as the role of forensic medicine in the investigation of modern criminal cases.

Marat Sadykov, Head of the University's Forensic Research and Training Laboratory, delivered a report on "The capabilities of a forensic research and training laboratory in the educational process".

Alongside with this, students from the Economics and Law Institute and the Artificial Intelligence Institute, who recently took second place at a republican hackathon, presented their project on "Digital evidence and aspects of its legal application".

Serik Mozhanov, a senior lecturer at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, summarized the meeting, after which an exchange of views took place among the participants to conclude the event. The scientific and practical significance of the field of forensic examination was widely discussed During the round table discussion, allowing industry specialists and young scientists to share their experiences.
