COLLECTION DEDICATED TO KALZHAN AKHUN REPUBLISHED

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, a presentation was held for the historical and informative book "Kalzhan Akhun" by author Shamshia Kalzhanova. The book explores the life and activities of the scholar and enlightener Kalzhan Akhun, son of Bolekbay, a figure who resided along Syrdarya.

At the event, Nurlibek Mynzhas, Head of the University's Scientific Research Coordination Department, spoke about Kalzhan Akhun's life journey and educational activities, as well as his place in the country's history.

Furthermore, Ualikhan Ibrayev, Vice-Rector for social and educational work, elaborated on the history of the book's publication. He noted that the work, which was first published in 2003, has been supplemented and reissued after 22 years.

The cultural event was attended by Omirbek Shamenov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans, and Talgat Zholdasuly, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, who shared their thoughts on the historical figure and spiritual heritage of Kalzhan Akhun.

Theologian Baktiyar Ospanov also spoke about Kalzhan Akhun's religious and educational activities, particularly highlighting his contribution to the construction of madrasahs. He mentioned another little-known facet of the akhun's personality – his work as a breeder, expressing confidence that several new works will be written based on this book.

Descendants of Kalzhan Akhun were present at the event, sharing memories of the enlightener's life, his example in raising offspring, and the history of the book's writing. The akhun's granddaughter, Zhanat Ispayeva, Doctor of Medical Sciences, stated that while the people knew of Kalzhan Akhun, it was their mothers who captured his personality in the book. According to her, the work comprehensively covers the akhun's image, his spiritual wealth, and his contributions to the Kazakh people.

Students, faculty, and representatives of the intelligentsia participated in the event, exchanging views on the book's content and the author's work. At the end of the evening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, and 20 copies of the book were presented to readers. The event concluded with a commemorative photo session.
