As part of an international exchange program, students from the Republic of Korea visited Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, where they explored the educational process and new opportunities in digital technologies at the Artificial Intelligence Institute.

Dana Abdrasheva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, provided a detailed overview of the university’s educational programs, international cooperation initiatives, and academic opportunities for students during the meeting. Information was also presented regarding the core activities of the Artificial Intelligence Institute, its modern infrastructure, and the training of specialists in the field.

Afterwards, the Korean students shared peculiarities about the higher education system of their country. Lee Hanjoo, Hwang Seohyeon, Kim Minchae and Kim Hongmin introduced several leading Korean universities, discussing admission requirements, the academic process, and student life.

The meeting also covered common perceptions of Korea and the realities of daily life in the country. The guests spoke about academic culture, student involvement in social life, visual design curricula, and the lifestyle of young people.

Topics such as travel culture, housing systems, military service, and student self-governance organizations were also discussed. Both sides compared the operations and experiences of student councils in Kazakhstan and Korea.

Besides, the international guests were introduced to the university’s business incubation center "Kyzylorda Hub". The students learned about incubation programs, marketing support, hackathons, various competitions, and educational courses, gaining insight into the center’s efforts to foster entrepreneurship and innovative projects.

"Since arriving in Kazakhstan, I have felt the incredible hospitality and kindness of the Kazakh people. I have particularly unforgettable memories of an evening walk along the banks of the Syr Darya river. I will remember Kazakhstan primarily as a country with kind-hearted people, delicious national cuisine, and an open, friendly society", shared Lee Hanjoo.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the students from the Republic of Korea expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of the Kazakh people and noted the warm welcome they received in Aral littoral region.
