“CRIMINAL PROCEDURAL LAW OF THE KR” AUDITORIUM IS OPENED

At Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, as part of the “Law and Order” initiative, a auditorium and co-working centre entitled “Criminal Procedure Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan” were officially opened, aimed at enhancing the professional knowledge of future lawyers.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board and Rector, Nauryzbay Baikadamov; the Prosecutor of the Kyzylorda Region, Rizabek Ozharaov; the Head of the Kyzylorda Regional Police Department, Police Colonel Serik Yergeshov; and law enforcement veteran Tastemir Rakhimov.

The new lecture theatre will serve as an educational venue where students can study the theory and practice of criminal procedure in depth, develop their legal analysis skills and build their professional competencies.

During the event, Police Colonel Serik Yergeshov, Head of the Kyzylorda Region Police Department, was awarded the ‘Korkyt Ata University Gold Medal’ for his contribution to strengthening the partnership between the university and the law enforcement agencies.

Besides, the university’s ‘Best Graduate’ medal was awarded to Saltanat Muratova, a police major and investigator with the Investigative Directorate of the Kyzylorda regional police department; Adilkhan Smailov, a police major and senior investigator for particularly important cases; Lieutenant Colonel Dauletkhan Baymenov, Deputy Head of Investigations at the Syrdarya district police department; and Police Major Batyrkhan Zhandullaev, an investigator with the Investigative Directorate of the Kyzylorda regional police department.

The guests were shown a book exhibition on the theme of “Law and Order”, featuring publications aimed at fostering a culture of law and promoting an in-depth study of legislation.

The ceremonial gathering concluded with the signing of a memorandum on dual education for students between Korkyt Ata University and the Kyzylorda Regional police department. This document opens up new opportunities for students to combine the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies with practical experience within law enforcement agencies.

It should be noted that the event was attended by senior officials and veterans of law enforcement agencies, academic staff, students and representatives of the media.
