REGIONAL PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH FUTURE LAWYERS

The Kyzylorda Regional Prosecutor, Rizabek Ozharov, held a meeting and gave a lecture to first-year students studying “Law”  at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

At the meeting, organised as part of the “Law and Order” initiative, the regional prosecutor explained to the future lawyers the importance of the rule of law in society and emphasised the need to improve legal literacy amongst young people. He also noted that students’ knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, compliance with the law, and respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens are among the most important foundations for building a state governed by the rule of law.

In his speech, Rizabek Karimuly emphasised the importance not only of respecting the law, but also of ensuring that the rights and legitimate interests of others are not infringed upon. He particularly emphasised that, alongside professional knowledge, future lawyers must possess high moral standards.

During the lecture, issues relating to the protection of children’s rights, the requirements of current legislation, the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and issues of legal liability were discussed. The regional prosecutor emphasised that, for a professional working in the legal field, qualities such as honesty, courage, integrity and responsibility are of the utmost importance, alongside professional knowledge and legal literacy.

At the end of the event, the students asked questions that interested them and exchanged views.
