THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY HELD A CEREMONY TO BID FAREWELL TO MAINUR BORIBAYEVA

A farewell ceremony was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University for Mainur Boribaeva, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, following the expiry of her employment contract.

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector Nauryzbay Baikadamov, who highlighted Mainur Boribaeva’s contribution to the development of science and higher education during her four years at the university. He highlighted her significant achievements in strengthening international cooperation, promoting areas of scientific research, and enhancing the region’s socio-economic and scientific potential.

At the ceremonial gathering, Mainur Abiltayevna was presented with one of the highest honours of Kyzylorda region – the Region’s Certificate of Honour – for her contribution to its development. Besides, for her services in strengthening the university’s academic potential and international standing, as well as in the development of higher education, she was awarded the institution’s highest honour – the “Korkyt Ata” gold medal.

Speakers at the event included Zhandos Bazartay, Chair of the “Adilet” Party’s Kyzylorda Region branch; Baimyrza Kozhamberliuly, Professor in the “Philosophy, Social Sciences and Humanities” department; Professor Serikbay Idyrysov of the “Water Management and Land Use Planning” programme, Dr Serikbay Idyrysov, Head of the International Projects and Scholarships Group Temirbolat Kenshinbay, and a representative of the journal “Bulletin of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University” Laura Tohetova, Director of the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute Sagat Taiman; and Nurbol Appazov, Candidate of Chemical Sciences and Professor, Chief Research Fellow at the “Methods of Physico-Chemical Analysis” Engineering Laboratory. They all wished Mainur Abiltayevna every success in her future endeavours.

Mainur Boribaeva, who has made a significant contribution to the development of the university’s academic and international programmes, bid farewell to her colleagues and expressed her best wishes to the staff.

To conclude the meeting, a video was shown recounting her work at the university and memorable moments shared with her colleagues, after which the event ended with a group photograph shooting.
