“READING NATION”: STUDENTS BRIEFED ON THE TERMS OF THE NATIONAL MARATHON

An information session was held for students at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University as part of the national “Reading Nation” project.

During the meeting, Gulmira Satbaeva, director of the university’s academic library, emphasized the importance of the national marathon and highlighted the role of reading books in personal development and enhancing society’s intellectual potential.

The project is being implemented as a large-scale initiative aimed at bringing together readers from all regions of the country and fostering a culture of reading.

As part of the marathon, participants must read 15 books from a list of 330 suggested titles between September and March. Half of the list (165 books) is in Kazakh, whilst the other half (165 books) is in Russian.

Please note that today, 15 September, is the last day to register for the “Reading Nation” project.
