“CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN”: KORKYT ATA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TAKE PART IN RIVER FISH STOCKING CAMPAIGN

Students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University joined the “River fish stocking” campaign organized as part of the nationwide environmental initiative “Clean Kazakhstan”.

University faculty members and more than 50 students from the Ecology and Environmental Management Educational Program took part in the environmental campaign, contributing to efforts to preserve natural water bodies and protect biodiversity.

The event was organized by the Aral-Syrdarya Interregional Basin Fisheries Inspectorate. The natural resources and environmental management department of Kyzylorda region and the Ecology department for Kyzylorda region also actively participated in the initiative. Large-scale fish stocking activities are being fulfilled in water bodies of international and national significance.

As part of the campaign, more than 10,000 fish fry were released into the Syrdarya River near the Edelweiss summer cottage area. This initiative is an important measure aimed at replenishing fish stocks in natural water bodies, maintaining ecosystem sustainability, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources.
