An open talk "Many languages - one profession" was held

On September 30 at the Korkyt Ata  Kyzylorda University, hosted open  talk "Мany languages - one profession", dedicated to the International Translator's Day.

Professional translators are specialists who contribute to strengthening cooperation between peoples, enhancing spiritual and cultural values.

At the meeting, the teacher of the department of "Foreign languages and translation", Master of Humanities Zhanna Iztileuova told about the training of translators at the Korkyt ata  Kyzylorda University, about the history of the emergence of this specialty.

And a US citizen, a teacher of the department of "Foreign Languages and Translation" Kelsey Dobrowski presented about the importance of knowledge of the English language.  Gulshan Aliyeva, a teacher of simultaneous translation at the Kazakh Academy of Translation, talks about the specifics of translation activities.

The representative of the Akimat(Governer’s office) of the Kyzylorda region Moldir Muratova told about the specifics of translation from Chinese. The expert on external relations Zhansaya Kanysh spoke about intercultural communication.

At the Korkyt ata  Kyzylorda University currently trains translators from Kazakh, Russian, English and Chinese.

During the meeting, the founder of the Bookworms club, Talgat Mendibai, presented to the students a list of the 10 best books of world literature. An intellectual game was also organized, and gifts were presented to active participants.

It is worth noting that the event was attended by experienced translators, foreign relations experts, teachers from the USA and students of the educational program "Translation Business".
