UNIVERSITY OMBUDSMAN CONTRIBUTES ACTIVELY TO LEGAL INITIATIVES

AliIslam Baikhadam, a fourth-year student in the Law educational programme at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and a member of the “Rukh Erkindigi” (“Spirit of Freedom”) Youth Commission, participated in several important events held under the “Law and Order” principle.

AliIslam Baikhadam learned about the activities of the Family Support Centre, a municipal state institution operating under the Kyzylorda City Department of Employment and Social Programmes. He received information about the social and legal support available to families.

He also attended a meeting of the Expert Council under the Representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan for Kyzylorda region.

The council discussed the prevention of domestic violence and measures to combat it. The participants also considered ways of providing assistance to survivors of violence.

During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of protecting citizens’ rights and improving legal literacy.

Participation in these events enabled the student to apply his professional knowledge in practice and helped him develop a legal perspective on pressing social issues.
