STUDENTS HAD A MEETING WITH FAMOUS JOURNALIST RUSLAN UTEPBAY

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University hosted a meeting with young people entitled “Law. Order. Responsibility”, organized jointly by the Governor’s office of Kyzylorda city and the City Prosecutor’s Office.

The meeting aimed to improve young people’s legal literacy, foster respect for the law and strengthen their sense of responsibility towards society.

The event was attended by Deputy City Prosecutor Yerlan Almakhanov, journalist Ruslan Utepbay, Head of the City Department of Public Development Zhagypar Tazhmakhanov, Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Bar Association Meirbek Daubalayev, and Zhaidarman performer Asylkhan Dukenbayev.

During the meeting, the speakers addressed compliance with the law, legal literacy, public order and legal responsibility. The experts explained the importance of observing legal requirements in everyday life and shared various cases and experiences from their professional practice.

Particular attention was also given to money mule activity, which has recently become a pressing social issue. The speakers explained the legal consequences of allowing third parties to use one’s bank cards or accounts and of participating in suspicious financial transactions. They also urged young people to remain vigilant and avoid unlawful activities.

The meeting’s keynote speaker, journalist Ruslan Utepbay, shared his views on several important issues, drawing on his investigative journalism and professional experience. He emphasized the importance of critically evaluating information, acting responsibly, and upholding honesty and legal standards in a professional environment. He also offered career guidance to students interested in journalism and shared insights from his own experience.

During the meeting, the students asked the speakers questions and engaged in an open discussion on legal issues.
