THE FUTURE OF BILINGUAL EDUCATION DISCUSSED IN BISHKEK: REPRESENTATIVES OF KORKYT ATA UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATE IN INTERNATIONAL FORUM

Staff and students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University participated in the Second International Forum titled “Bilingual Education Today: Global Challenges and Effective Practices”, held in Bishkek.

The international forum was jointly organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, RUDN University, Russian-Armenian University, and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

The forum featured extensive discussions on current trends in bilingual education, the role of digital technologies in the educational process, the potential of artificial intelligence, and new models of teacher training.

Representatives of higher education institutions from various countries, scholars, lecturers, teaching methodology specialists, and early-career researchers attended the forum and examined key issues in contemporary bilingual education. They also exchanged experience in applying new pedagogical models, developing language education amid digital transformation, and modernising educational programmes.

Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was represented by Dina Muratkyzy, Head of the Department for Academic Process Organisation and Employment; Saule Zharbulova, Head of the Russian Language and Literature educational programme; and university students.

Saule Zharbulova delivered a presentation titled “The Russian Language in Kazakhstan’s Educational Ecosystem: Transforming Approaches to Educational Programme Design”.

Dina Muratkyzy presented a paper titled “Independent Study as a Factor in Developing the Communicative Competence of Future Professionals in Bilingual Education.” She emphasised the importance of students’ independent study in developing professional and communicative competencies.
