A reporting meeting of the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University was held in front of the population

  The number of applicants choosing the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, which has an 85-year history, increases every year. Compared to the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of students increased by 70%. This was noted at the reporting meeting in front of the population on the work done at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University for the 2021-2022 academic year by the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova.

  The University conducts its activities in 4 main areas: education, development of science and innovation, socio-cultural education, strengthening international cooperation.

  The university is actively continuing work to support science and scientists-teachers. Revenues from research projects are increasing from year to year.

- To date, 17 fundamental and applied scientific projects are being implemented at the university. In addition, our scientists, together with Nova Lisbon University, are implementing the "Horizon 2020" project (Portugal) and an archaeological project with the German Foundation for Humanitarian Research (Germany)," said Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna.

  It should be emphasized that this year, together with the University of Michigan, work was carried out within the framework of a project aimed at solving environmental problems. The Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University became the grantholder of this project. The project "Promotion of basic curricula in ecology and environmental sciences at universities of Kazakhstan", implemented by our scientists together with young researchers, was funded by the US Embassy.

  When we say that we are developing science, we are talking about the importance of stimulating young specialists. The competition in support of young scientists at the university will continue this year.

  The educational institution systematically implements measures to strengthen international cooperation. According to the Academic Mobility program, 25 students were sent to foreign universities, 12 foreign students are studying at our university. In addition, 10 foreign specialists were invited to give lectures and conduct scientific consultations. 

  Currently, 33 employees are studying at the University's TOEFL testing Center.

  The University pays special attention to educational programs in the specialties that are necessary for the labor market. The training of specialists is carried out according to 115 educational programs.

  Equally important is the employment of graduates.

- For practical training at manufacturing enterprises, 21 departments have 94 branches. 59 memoranda have been signed with manufacturing enterprises and institutions. 632 graduates are employed in these industries," Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna said.

  The material and technical base of the university is updated from year to year. At the expense of the partners, 11 auditoriums and 1 football field were overhauled as a gift from Halyk Bank.

  Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is in the TOP 351-400 among universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia according to the QS world ranking. 

  As part of the implementation of the tasks of the socio-cultural direction, 22 youth organizations and 13 sports sections work at the university, which help to maintain the health of students, contribute to their cultural and spiritual development.

  Today, the university has 5 institutes, 24 departments, 5 research centers. The teaching staff is 560 people. Of these, 22 Doctors of sciences, 176 candidates of sciences, 37 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD).

  The head of the Department for Quality Assurance in the field of Education of the Kyzylorda region Galiya Dauletova, Chairman of the Public Council of the Kyzylorda region Arip Khozhbanov, Chairman of the Kyzylorda Regional Organization of Veterans Serik Duysenbayev, director of the branch of the state Corporation "Government for Citizens" in the Kyzylorda region, deputy of the Kyzylorda regional Maslikhat Aida Abibullayeva, people's deputies, public activists, partners, as well as graduates, industry representatives, heads of educational organizations, teaching staff, university students and media representatives were present,. 

 "We got all our achievements thanks to the cohesion and unity of the team, whose main task is to ensure high quality education,"- the head of the university concluded her speech.
