A university scientist gave a lecture at Tomsk Polytechnic University

Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology, Geography and Chemistry Rakhat Kurmanbayev held a series of lectures for students and professors of Tomsk Polytechnic University on the program of external academic mobility within the module "Global environmental problems, Holocene history of the Aral Sea: lessons for understanding its current state" of the discipline "General Biosphere".

The lecture series included data on the consequences of the Aral Sea drainage, directions for studying the ecosystems of the Aral region, and the restoration of the small island. 

The issues of preserving the biological diversity of the Kyzylorda region, the possibility of a comprehensive assessment of the anthropogenic impact on the biota of the Aral region, data on monitoring the flora and fauna of the region, preserving the ecosystem of the Small Aral, instilling a careful attitude to the flora and fauna, the results of fundamental and applied research were also presented.
