Marathon runners met with students

The spiritual and educational caravan «Rukhani KZ»  and the relay ultramarathon «Buketov runners», organized by the Karaganda University named after E.A.Buketov in honor of the 300th anniversary of the historical event «Aktaban shubyryndy, Alkakol Sulama»  and the 355th anniversary of Bukhar zhyrau Kalkamanuly, arrived in Kyzylorda region.

The marathon runners met with the teaching staff and students of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, where they got acquainted with the exhibition hall of the Research Center of Archeology and Ethnography.

At the meeting, Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work Zhandos Bazartai noted the importance of the marathon.

- This marathon is of great importance for the revival of historical events in the memory of generations. During the visit to historical sites, the respect and love of young people for the country will increase. A healthy lifestyle is also widely promoted.

As part of these measures, a memorandum is signed between the two universities. Thanks to the memorandum, we will strengthen partnership relations and jointly carry out large–scale work on sports and other areas," Zhandos Nurtayevich said.

It should be noted that during the meeting, the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and the E.A.Buketov Karaganda University signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports. Within the framework of the memorandum, work aimed at the development of mass sports will be implemented.

At the meeting, the dean of the Faculty of "Physical Culture and Sports" of the Karaganda University named after E.A.Buketov Kuanyshbek Adanov noted that marathon runners will overcome more than 1400 kilometers.

Historians, athletes, social activists and students take part in the project. They run in the direction of Karaganda, Ulytau, Kyzylorda, Turkestan regions and visit historical and cultural sites.
