Visit of the University delegation to the Republic of Korea

The state visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Korea on August 16-17, 2021 strengthened friendly relations between the two countries. In particular, the ceremony of returning the ashes of General Hong Bom Do to his historical homeland gave a powerful impetus to the establishment and development of bilateral ties between the regions of the Kyzylorda region and the Republic of Korea.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea have received letters of support for the visit of the delegation of the region to Korea, this year-letters from the Mayor of the city of Daejeon of the Republic of Korea and the Governor of Jeollabuk-do province.

In this regard, the delegation of the region headed by Akim of the region Nurlybek Nalibayev visited the city of Seoul of the Republic of Korea on May 22. The delegation includes Akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Korea B. Duysenbayev, Chairman of the regional maslikhat N. Baykadamov, Rector of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University B. Karimovа.

Today, on the first day of the business trip, the members of the delegation met with the President of Shinhan University, Mr. Kang Song Chong, to establish cooperation in the field of education and science. One of the best universities in the field of Social Sciences-Shinhan University was founded in 1960.

At the meeting, Mr. Kang song Chong expressed his desire to open a branch of the university in Kyzylorda. At the same time, in the next 20-30 years, it is planned to open a higher educational institution with a two-way study of which specialties will be in demand in the labor market of the region. To further study these issues, it is planned to organize an upcoming business trip of the President of Shinhan University to Kyzylorda in July. After studying the future direction of the labor market, it is specified in which specialties a branch of Shinhan University will be opened.

The head of the region supported projects in this area, noting that the return on investment in education and the development of science will be obvious in the future.
