The national flag of the country was raised at the Universiade in China

Today, a ceremony of raising the National Flag was held at the athletes' campus of the XXXI World Summer Student Games.

Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek delivered a special video message for the Universiade participants.

"A smart, educated and healthy generation is the most precious treasure of the country. Along with providing education to young people, one of the main responsibilities of our Ministry is to create favorable conditions for sports. Talented students are presented with all opportunities to participate in national and international competitions," the minister said.

Also, the Minister expressed confidence that the participants of the competition will adequately defend the honor of the country and conquer the top of the Universiade.

It is worth recalling that from July 27 to August 8, the XXXI Summer World Student Games are held in the Chinese city of Chengdu. As part of the Kazakhstan national team, 93 student-athletes compete in 11 sports.

The Kazakh delegation is headed by Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education Talgat Yeshenkulov.
