Minister Sayasat Nurbek got acquainted with the dormitories of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek got acquainted with the dormitories of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University during a working trip to the Kyzylorda region.

The Minister started his working visit with the dormitory "Orkeniyet", where he met with students. The dormitory is designed for 274 places, currently 255 university students live here. During the meeting, Sayasat Nurbek listened to the proposals of the university students. He noted that the main task is to provide students with dormitories in the republic, this issue has been resolved in the regions.

Then the Minister met with students of the Dilmash dormitory. The dormitory is designed for 170 places, today 162 students of the university are settled.

Sayasat Nurbek also got acquainted with the work of the Seyhun sports and recreation complex, on the basis of which physical education classes, sports sections in mini-football, volleyball, swimming, table tennis are organized. In addition, competitions and sports contests of all levels are held.

When visiting the student dormitory No.5, the Minister got acquainted with the life of students. The building of the dormitory No.5 of the university is designed for 400 students. Currently, 386 students live here. According to the representatives of the university, the maximum conditions for education and effective leisure of young people have been created in the hostel. The rooms are designed for 2-4 people, equipped with the necessary furniture. The dormitory has offices for conducting training seminars, a library and computer classes, a dining room, a laundry room, a tennis hall. There is a playground for sports in the courtyard, and a new football field was put into operation in 2023.

During the meetings with students and faculty of the university were awarded a Letter of Thanks from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kalen Kalievich - Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, judo coach of the regional School of Higher Sports Skills of the Department of Culture and Sports of the Kyzylorda region, who contributed to the development of the university and achieved high achievements in the field of sports, as well as Olzhas Orazalievich - master of sports international class in judo, member of the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan, gold medalist of the Asian Games 2023, Zhubanazar Abylaikhan - Master of sports of international class in judo, Master of sports of international class in judo, Member of the national team, bronze medalist of the Asian Games in 2023

It is worth noting that the university has five student dormitories for 1,230 places. At the moment, another 350-bed dormitory is under construction.
