Form of Study

The duration of study is determined by the period required to complete 240 academic credits over the entire period of study, with 60 academic credits per academic year. Accordingly, the standard duration of study is four years. Students may complete fewer or more academic credits during an academic year, in which case the duration of study may be extended or shortened.

For individuals who already hold a higher education qualification, or have completed technical and vocational education or post-secondary education, the duration of study is determined taking into account the student's prerequisites, which are established on the basis of the transcript (diploma supplement). In such cases, credits may be transferred and previously completed courses recognized, provided that the volume of the completed coursework is sufficient and the educational programmes are compatible in terms of continuity.
