Solemn session dedicated to the day of the fatherland defender

There was a solemn event "Eldik te, erlik te urpakka amanat" at the Kotkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The event was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Zhumagulov, Nariman Turegaliyev, public figures, professors and students of the University. 

In the course of the festive event, the Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Sarsemkhankyzy spoke about a role of men in the development of the country and the feat of our heroic ancestors. He congratulated the participants of the session on the significant date and expressed his congratulations.

"The result of the feat of front-line soldiers is that we live a happy life in peace, recognition of our country at the world level. Today's generation follows the example of their heroism and irrepressible determination.

Now our team employs citizens who have participated in world wars and battles, special peacekeeping missions, as well as in the elimination of the consequences of a nuclear test disaster. We are proud of them! We are sure that in the footsteps of our ancestors, who thought about the future of their country, today's young people will preserve their independence as soon as possible!",- said Beibitkul Karimova. 

The event continued with the award ceremony, where employees of the educational institution were presented with awards. In connection with his election to the post of Academician of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of chemical sciences, professor Nurbol Appazov was awarded a special diploma and a badge. Also, scientists of the university were awarded the medal "for merits in the development of Engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan", students received a letter of thanks from the Academy for their contribution to science.

A number of employees who have made a significant contribution to the strategic development of the University, who are professionals in their field, received the award of the chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Certificate of Honor of the Kyzylorda region, a letter of thanks from the secretary of the regional maslikhat and a special award of the Chairman of Board-Rector for their contribution to the training of highly qualified professionals.

In addition, deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of technical sciences, professor, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, President of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Zhumagulov was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda university, deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the order "Kurmet" Nariman Toregaliyev was awarded the "Korkyt Ata gold medal".

In the course of the event, the achievements of the university in the field of scientific and innovative, academic policy and educational work, as well as projects of youth organizations were presented. The senators met with active youth and listened to their suggestions. The solemn event ended with a festive concert in the spirit of patriotism.

It should be noted that the military department was opened for the first time at the University in the 2000-2001 academic year, and today about 300 students study. The military department trains reserve officers who are brought up in the spirit of patriotism, have military knowledge and skills.
