Korkyt youth took part in the Republican forum

Yesterday, the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a forum at the Republican level on the topic: "How to identify financial pyramids? Ways not to break the law on social media. Who is a Dropper?"

The forum was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Balayeva, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Sayasat, Minister of Finance M. Takiev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry J. Madiyev, Chairman of the Agency for Regulation and Development of Financial Market M. Abylkasymova, the Mnagement of regional Akimats, the capital and cities of Republican significance, as well as well-known media people and bloggers.

The event was also attended by 35 of the best universities in the country, more than 20,000 students and bloggers with an audience of more than 10 million people. The main purpose of the forum is the injection of funds into dubious financial organizations that have become a public nuisance, prevention of falling into the trap of Internet scammers, share of experiences, and bringing the harm of a financial pyramid through you to the public.

The forum participants discussed how to identify financial pyramids, how to avoid violations on social networks and who are droppers. During the panel sessions, well-known bloggers, financial analysts, public figures, deputies and representatives of government agencies discussed issues of Internet hygiene, responsibility for advertising fraudulent projects, distribution of illegal content on social networks, and involvement of young people in illegal activities.

In his welcoming speech, Dmitry Malakhov, Chairman of the Agency, noted that the main task of "AFM online" is to explain the basics of financial literacy to young generations. "Since 2021, we have been conducting a special project aimed at reducing the life cycle of financial pyramids and the number of their depositors. That is, we are working to stop their work at the initial stage, before it spreads among the population," D. Malakhov said. Today, the agency has automated the search and blocking of illegal content on the Internet. About 10 thousand websites and accounts with symbols of financial pyramids have already been blocked.

In addition, to carry out targeted work, an early detection system has been established for depositors involved in fraudulent schemes through social networks. As a result of the measures taken, to date, 126 thousand subscribers have abandoned accounts advertising fraudulent schemes. During the event, a competition was announced for the best video for university students aimed at preventing various fraudulent schemes. Today, there are many Kazakhstanis in the country, in the pursuit of "quickly getting a lot of money", invest all their funds in dubious financial organizations, and at one point lose all their funds.

Warning of an increase in fraud, Head of Country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the relevant state bodies to develop a set of measures against financial pyramids. Because scammers who hunt for easy prey, come up with new tricks, continue to develop in order to more subtly deceive the population. In accordance with this, the forum is a big step for the prevention of these crimes.
