Education without Borders: International cooperation of Korkyt Ata University
Today, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University maintains close ties with countries around the world in the field of science and higher education, expanding student learning opportunities at the global level. Currently, the university's youth are studying under the academic mobility program in South Korea, Belgium, Poland, China, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. This year, the number of students studying abroad has increased significantly.
In the fall semester of the academic year, 7 university students study at Gangnam University in South Korea, majoring in Korean and English. Studying in Korea will improve students' academic performance, hone their language skills, and become internationally competitive.
Hovest University of Applied Sciences in Belgium this year allowed students of Korkyt Ata University to broaden their horizons of knowledge. Within the framework of the grant project of the international credit mobility program Erasmus+, 5 students study at the university in their fields. The Erasmus+ program provides scholarships, visa expenses and accommodation, allowing students to become more familiar with the European education system. Previously, two students were accepted per year, this year their number has doubled.
In addition, the University constantly cooperates with the University of Lodz in Poland. Every year, on the basis of a cooperation agreement between the two universities, 25 students study at the University of Lodz. This semester, 15 students went to Poland, and next semester, 10 more students will go on a trip. This cooperation gives future specialists the opportunity to gain international experience in their fields and strengthen their cultural ties.
International cooperation is constantly developing with China, which is considered a Celestial country. Over the past academic year, 33 students studied at Hubei Chinese Pedagogical University.
Relations have been established and strengthened with the largest educational institutions in Turkey - Selcuk and Haji Bayram Universities. Last year, 10 students studied at Selcuk University, and next year it is planned to send 6 students to Haji Bayram University. Negotiations are also currently underway with Turkey on the Orkhun program.
The university's relations with Turkic-speaking countries are significantly developed. 20 students are improving their knowledge at Balasagun and Manas Universities in Kyrgyzstan, and 32 students have the opportunity to broaden their horizons and exchange experiences at Tashkent University of Uzbekistan.
Korkyt Ata University, through large-scale international programs, creates conditions for students to study abroad and contributes to the improvement of their professional and language skills.
