Within the framework of the TAZA QAZAQSTAN project, special attention is paid to the botanical garden and greenhouse facilities

Various projects and initiatives are being undertaken in connection with the environmental situation in Kazakhstan and for the sustainable development of agriculture in the country. One of them is the TAZA QAZAQSTAN project. This initiative is an important step towards environmental protection, ecological education and the efficient use of natural resources. Within the framework of the project, special attention is paid to the botanical garden and greenhouse at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

Currently, there are more than 2 thousand ornamental and fruit trees in the Botanical Garden of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The total area of the botanical garden is 4 hectares.

Today, special attention is paid to landscaping the Botanical Garden and planting a large number of different fruit and ornamental plantings in it. This year, the botanical garden has undergone a complete reconstruction. For the convenience of movement of residents, stone paving stones were laid and a canopy was installed. A special pipe was also installed above and below the soil for drip irrigation of newly sown seedlings. Specialists are engaged in acclimatization of fertile climate-resistant trees.

In addition, a greenhouse has been launched since July 2024.  First of all, cucumbers were sown, and today the crop has already been fully harvested. In the future, it is planned to sow several types of greenery and flowers. Preparations for spring are underway. Experts plan to prepare the trees for winter and plant new seedlings in the spring instead of trees which had failed to grow.
