Topical issues of countering cybercrime were discussed

A scientific and practical round table on the topic "Modern trends and directions of countering cybercrime" was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University.

The meeting discussed the necessity to combine technical and legal measures to improve the effectiveness of countering cybercrime.

The moderator of the meeting, the head of the educational program "Jurisprudence", Candidate of Law Yerlan Altaev, touched upon important issues of information security and threats of cybercrime to modern society. 

In addition, Senior Prosecutor of Kyzylorda Region Prosecutor's Office Yerlan Almakhanov, head of "Cyberpole" operational investigation group of the Kyzylorda City Police Department Indira Abdykhappar, senior operative of Kyzylorda Regional Department of Economic Investigations Azamat Matayev, chief expert of Institute of Forensic Examinations in Kyzylorda region Serik Molzhanov, cybersecurity officer of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Dauletbai Zhusup, Alisher Murat, a student of Korkyt fnf Kyzylorda University, senior lecturer of Department of Jurisprudence, Master of Jurisprudence Yerkemai Saniyazova, 11th grade students of Regional boarding lyceum "Bilim-Innovation" for gifted children No. 10 Asylzhan Kaldybai, Janet Iskakova delivered their report.

The main purpose of the round table is to prevent an increase in the number of crimes on the Internet, including data theft, fraud and attacks on systems. In addition, the legal aspects of combating cybercrime and the importance of international cooperation.
