Korkyt ata Kyzylorda university in the world ranking of environmental sustainability UI GREEN METRIC 2024

The prestigious UI GreenMetric World University Rankings among the universities of the world in the field of sustainable development has been published. This year, 1,477 educational institutions from 95 countries took part in the ranking. There are 27 Kazakhstani universities on the list. This is a clear reflection of the work of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and higher education institutions of the country in the direction of sustainable development.

Last year, universities were evaluated according to 88 indicators, this year this indicator reached 96. As a result, Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University has been included in the world ranking for the second year in a row and occupies 1160th place.

The GreenMetric UI rating is very popular in the world. The rating is aimed at assessing the environmental sustainability of universities and measures aimed at preserving the environmental situation on their campuses. Universities that adhere to all principles of sustainability can participate in it.

The rating organizers urge the academic community to solve environmental problems and pursue a policy of sustainable environmental development.
