The importance of inclusive education in higher education

Chairman of the Board-Rector of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimova met with a member of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of RoK, scientist Tansaule Serikov.

Tansaule Gabdymanapovich, who arrived on a working visit to the land of Syr, got acquainted with the conditions created at the educational institution, listened to suggestions and opinions. 

At the meeting, the rector of the university noted that one of the most important tasks in the field of higher education is to create equal opportunities for teaching special children. She also reported on the results of the work done to create an inclusive educational environment.

“Currently, the Center for Inclusive Education and the Center for Psychological Support are functioning in order to provide psychological and pedagogical support to students with special needs. The educational buildings No. 1 and No. 7 of the educational institution have classrooms for “Inclusive Education”, fully provided with the necessary equipment. All academic buildings and dormitories have ramps and parking for the disabled. Joint projects are being implemented in this direction with the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University," says the head of the university.

It is worth noting that the educational institution provides a discount on tuition fees for students with special needs. Since 2023, the subject “Inclusive education” has been included in all educational programs of pedagogical direction. Last academic year, about 80 teachers completed advanced training courses.
