Rakhat Kurmanbayev: The 500 Scientists project will give a new impetus to the future of Kazakh science

Today, special attention is paid to the development of science and education, the strengthening of international relations, as well as the introduction of new technologies and innovations in the country. One of them is the 500 Scientists project within the Bolashak program.

This project will allow Kazakhstani scientists to explore new directions in their fields, apply international experience, as well as update the scientific environment of Kazakhstan and expand research.

Last year, as part of the project, I completed a research internship at the University of Illinois (UIUC) in the USA, having the opportunity to enhance the scientific potential of Kazakhstan and exchange experiences at the world's leading university.  UIUC is one of the top 50 universities in the world. It is especially known for its educational, scientific, and production programs in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, computer science, and business. At the same time, I improved my professional knowledge in my field by attending individual lectures by foreign scientists, various seminars and academic events in order to improve my language skills.

The United States pays special attention to education. This country is also home to the world's leading scientific and educational institutions. During my internship, I learned how to use the best management methods and strategies to improve the efficiency and quality of the education system.

After arriving from abroad, I started new research projects. We plan to develop research experience in the field of ecology and open new projects with the participation of scientists with whom I had the opportunity to contact during the internship. I want to use my new knowledge and experience for the development of the university, the teaching of students and young colleagues, and modern education.
