Decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on amendments to the rules for selecting applicants for the Bolashak scholarship

On January 17, 2025, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted a resolution introducing changes to the rules for selecting candidates for the "Bolashak" international scholarship. These changes aim to improve the selection process and provide additional opportunities for civil servants.

Implementation of a screening mechanism: Candidates who do not achieve the required score will not proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

Introduction of the "Civil Servants" category: This new category allows civil servants to take language courses to qualify for the master’s degree program.

Fulfillment of obligations abroad: Scholarship graduates can now complete their mandatory work experience in international organizations of which Kazakhstan is a member, such as the UN, UNESCO, SCO, and OTS.

Motivational letter requirement: A motivation letter has been added to the list of required documents for the selection process.

Reapplication opportunity: Candidates who fail the selection process may reapply within the same calendar year.

These changes aim to enhance the "Bolashak" program and contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists in various fields.
