Tasks on the issues raised have been defined at the government meeting

A Government meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. Issues related to the development of science and digitalization, as well as draft government resolutions were considered on the agenda.

At the meeting after the Government meeting, these and other issues were discussed and tasks were defined. The instructions were assigned to the akims of the districts, the city of Kyzylorda and the heads of responsible industries.

In accordance with the concept of the development of higher education and science in the country, there are a number of important projects aimed at improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of scientific research.

Today, work is actively underway to open branches of foreign universities. In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence was opened last year on the basis of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University together with the Seoul National University of Science and Technology of the Republic of South Korea (SeoulTech). Currently, 100 students are enrolled in four educational programs at this institute on the basis of government grants. This is an important step towards the development of the artificial intelligence industry in the country and the training of highly qualified specialists who meet modern requirements.

At the meeting, it was instructed to strengthen this work, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, together with regional universities, the regional Department of Education, and research institutes, were instructed to create a Regional Council for the Development of Science to organize work on the development of science and digitalization. It is necessary to comprehensively work out the financing of scientific research and put forward specific proposals.
