Scientists from Japan gave lectures to students

Teachers and students of the educational program History and Archaeology at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University met with Masahiko Kumagai, PhD, Senior Researcher at the Japanese Research Center for Advanced Analysis, National Center for Environmental Research, and Eiko Endo, PhD, at Meiji University, Tokyo, and a researcher at the Stone Research Center.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and research centers in Japan, discuss joint projects on historical and archaeological research, as well as exchange experience on the archaeological heritage in Kazakhstan and Japan.

At the event, scientists spoke about the latest scientific achievements in the field of archeology, presented methods of research and discovery of ancient architectural objects. In addition, the issue of training future personnel in this field was comprehensively discussed.

During the lecture, presentations were made on modern approaches to the study of ancient ceramics by geochemical, mineralogical methods, environmental monitoring and ensuring the preservation of archaeological sites.

At the end of the meeting, the students asked questions and actively exchanged opinions.
