University scientists took part in a national scientific and practical conference named «THE PERIOD OF KYZYLORDA AS THE CAPITAL: HISTORY AND MORALITY»

The meeting presented relevant data on the contribution of the national intellectuals  to important historical decisions, such as the period while Akmeshit was the capital, the return of the name «Kazakh», and the change of the city's name to «Kyzylorda».

Professor Gabit Tuyakbayev of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, candidate of philological sciences, spoke in detail about the documents left by our intellectuals, which are stored in the regional state archive.

Over the course of a century, documentary films about the past and present of the Aral Sea region have been made and presented to viewers. A book dedicated to the hundred-year history of Kyzylorda was published in anticipation of this significant holiday.

Scientists from the region's main educational institution made a significant contribution to the preparation of materials’ collection from the republican scientific and practical conference «The Period of Kyzylorda as the Capital: History and Lessons». The chair of the board and rector of the university, Beibitkul Karimova, and the vice-rector for scientific work and international relations, Mainura Buribaeva, were members of the editorial board and organizing committee.

The personal position of the national intellectuals and the renewal of public education institutions, reflected in this valuable collected work, are one of the manifestations of the self-discovery process of a people, who honor their past.
