Science is the locomotive of progress

On April 12th, Science Workers' Day, a celebratory event titled "Science will save the world – VI" was held at Korkyt Ata University.

Undoubtedly, all human achievements are the result of the intellectual labor of scientists. Those gathered at the festive event first got acquainted with an exhibition presented by the university's researchers, who are considered its intellectual power and a beacon leading to the future.

At the celebratory gathering, organized with the aim of glorifying the achievements of scientists working productively in the field of science and stimulating young researchers, the floor was given to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the university, Nauryzbay Baidakhamov. Nauryzbay Seitkaliuly spoke about the importance of scientific development, support for young scientists, and the implementation of scientific results in production, highlighting the team's efforts in enhancing the region's scientific potential.

At the ceremonial event, a number of scientists and students who are successfully implementing their scientific projects and systematically engaged in fundamental and applied research were awarded.

In particular, the university's Honorary Rector, Academician Kylyshbay Bisenov, was awarded the "Akhmet Baitursynuly" badge, and Aldazhar Abilov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Kazakh Language, Literature, and Journalism, received the "For contribution to the development of the native language" badge.

The Director of the Institute of Economics and Law, Ainur Isaeva, Candidate of Biological Sciences Sholpan Yespenbetova, and Doctor of Philosophy Nurgal Sikhanova were awarded diplomas from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Besides, several faculty members and students were recognized with awards for their diligent work and high achievements in the scientific field.

Furthermore, at the event, partners –"Abzal and K" LLP, "RU-6" LLP, "KazGerMunai" JV, "PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources JSC " – provided support to young scientists, and letters of appreciation and special gifts were presented to master's students and students of the biological education program.

This is an important step that enhances the status not only of individual achievements but also of the entire scientific community, as well as a significant event that not only defines the place of science in society but also provides a powerful impetus to the younger generation. After all, every support given to science is an investment in the country's future.

The event dedicated to the promotion of science and education culminated in a concert. The artists, who rendered both traditional and patriotic melodies, were met with an enthusiastic response from the spectators.
