Professors from Tashkent State University of Economics will share their expertise through a series of lectures

The Chairman of the Board—Rector of Korkyt Ata of Kyzylorda University, Nauryzbay Baikadamov, received a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also there were present Narboy Karimov, Director of the Branch of the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Teaching Staff at Tashkent State University of Economics; Professor of the Department of Banking, Doctor of Economics; and Zhanabay Yakipbaevich, Professor of the Department of Banking, Doctor of Economics at the meeting.

During the meeting, issues related to the development of bilateral academic mobility programs, the exchange of experience between faculty and students, and the organization of joint lectures were discussed. The parties expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation in the field of education.

The Uzbek professors will share their professional experience by conducting in-person lectures for students of Aral region over the course of a week, which were previously delivered online.

It should be noted that Korkyt Ata University has established international ties with 12 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. The partnership with Tashkent State University of Economics has been ongoing for two years. During this time, faculty members from both universities have exchanged experiences and strengthened academic ties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on the implementation of joint research projects and the expansion of academic cooperation. 

Founded in 1931, Tashkent State University of Economics is considered one of the leading higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. The university is renowned for training qualified specialists and researchers in the fields of social sciences and management, computer science, arts, and humanities, particularly in economics.

In line with employers’ needs, the university offers 14 bachelor’s programs, 42 master’s programs, and 19 doctoral programs (PhD/DSc). In addition, the university ranks highly in international rankings. Specifically, it ranks 1001–1200 in the QS World University Rankings, 251–300 in the QS WUR Ranking by Subject, 951 in the QS Sustainability Ranking, and 274 in the Asian University Rankings.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for the further development of academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities.
