SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL SEMINAR HELD IN HONOR OF BOLAT TEMIROV

A scientific and practical seminar titled "Evolution and current state of rice reclamation in the context of water scarcity in Kyzylorda region" was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The event was dedicated to the scientific and pedagogical activities of Bolat Temirov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.

The event was opened by moderator Mainura Buribayeva, who emphasized the seminar's importance for the participants. According to her, issues of efficient water resource management and the development of rice cultivation are among the most pressing topics today.

During the seminar, renowned scientists and industry specialists from the country highly praised Bolat Temirov's contributions to science and education. Particularly, the Rector of Kyzylorda Open University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kylyshbay Bisenov; university veteran, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Serikbay Koshkarov; Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh Research Institute of Rice cultivation named after Y.Zhakhayev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician Sultanbek Taupbayev; and chief researcher of the above-mentioned institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician Kurmanbek Bakirov, among other scientists, delivered insightful reports on the professor's scientific works and pedagogical activities.

Furthermore, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ondabek Rabat; Professor of "Bolashak" Kyzylorda University, Umirbek Umbetov; Professor of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Ibadylla Tautenov; Associate Professor Yssak Yermaganbet; Commercial Director of "Turgay-Petroleum" JSC Aybek Abyzbay; and Corporate Secretary of the University's Board of Directors Akmaral Temirova, focused on the scientist's life journey and works.

A special video dedicated to the scientific and creative life of Bolat Temirov was shown During the meeting. Besides, a presentation of the monograph "Operation of card-type irrigation and drainage canals of rice systems in Kyzylorda region" took place.

It is worth noting that Bolat Temirov worked for many years at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University (formerly Kyzylorda Polytechnic Institute), honorably holding the positions of Head of the Construction and Reclamation Machinery Department and Dean of the Mechanics Faculty. The scientist's academic portfolio includes 31 scientific works and 10 methodological works.

The event was attended by the university's faculty, the scientist's colleagues, his students, and pupils, who honored his work in science and teaching.
