FUTURE IT SPECIALISTS GAIN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Students from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University are currently undergoing industrial internship, applying two years of theoretical knowledge to real-world professional settings and gaining their first practical work experience. Internships represent a crucial milestone that shapes students' career paths and provides them with a platform to demonstrate their capabilities in the production and service sectors.

Today, students are interning not only in regional institutions but also in major organizations driving the country's economy and digital development. This serves as a clear testament to the alignment of the university's curriculum with modern industry standards.

In the financial and banking sectors, students interning at Halyk Bank, Freedom Bank, Freedom Life, and KazAgroFinance are handling banking documentation, providing customer service, managing electronic databases, and familiarizing themselves with internal business processes. This track enhances the future specialists' financial literacy and offers a deep understanding of economic systems.

In the production, oil & gas, and industrial sectors, students are gaining experience at KazMunaiGas Digital, PetroKazakhstan, and ShalkiyaZinc. Their responsibilities span IT infrastructure, information security, networking systems, and the digitalization of industrial processes.

Within the IT and digital technology domain, students are developing skills at organizations such as JSC National Information Technologies, the State Technical Service, Kyzylorda Hub, IT Park, Grant Technology, Global Elements, and Elements.kz. Their work focuses on web development, cybersecurity, technical support, network administration, and digital solutions.

In public administration and community services, interns are learning about electronic document management, digitalization of public services, and administrative workflows across institutions including the Akimat of Kyzylorda Region, the Akimat of Zhalagash District, the Police Department, the Regional Court, the Public Service Center (PSC), and the Family Support Center.

Furthermore, students display high engagement in statistics, media, logistics, and engineering design. At the Department of the Bureau of National Statistics, Qyzylorda TV, Adal Logistics, and Shynar Project & Company, they hone professional skills by participating in data processing, infographics creation, SMM, design, and logistical operations.

From the very first days of their internship, the students' professional drive and accountability have been highly evident. Yevgeniy Reshetnikov built a corporate network in a virtual environment, working with firewall and web security elements using Kali Linux. Daulet Talgat configured a Cisco switch, showcasing his network administration skills. Temirlan Rakhmet familiarized himself with information security and QazCloud systems at KazMunaiGas Digital. Adilet Dautbayev worked with domain infrastructure and Active Directory at JSC National Information Technologies. Meruert Akhmetova, Assylzhan Kalzhan, and Beknur Zholdin delivered productive results in web design, UI/UX, and website development. Nurtore Baimurat assisted citizens in obtaining electronic digital signatures (EDS) and accessing digital government services.

This is a vital period where students reinforce classroom knowledge through practical application in a real production environment. The university's continuous support and modern educational resources provide a powerful impetus for their professional growth.

This internship program also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically, it contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
