THE TEACHING STAFF ENHANCED THEIR DIGITAL SKILLS AT A WORKSHOP

An online seminar for the faculty members was held at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, organized by the Professional development and continuing education center. The seminar, titled "Using the artificial intelligence platform ChatGPT EDU", aimed to introduce effective ways of applying artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process and to enhance the digital literacy of teachers.

The organizing team presented the main features of the ChatGPT EDU platform to the participants and explained effective methods for its use in teaching and research activities during the seminar. Particularly, practical examples were demonstrated on developing educational and methodological materials, lesson planning, text analysis and processing, preparing scientific articles, as well as conducting interactive work with students.

Besides, Nurlan Nurmagambetov, Head of the Student and Faculty Services Department, and Askhat Yeltaev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, provided participants with information about artificial intelligence.

The event included a practical session where teachers were able to practice working with the ChatGPT EDU platform. Comprehensive discussions were also held on issues of academic integrity, information security, and adherence to ethical standards when using artificial intelligence.

Seminar participants emphasized the importance of integrating digital technologies into the education system and noted that the ChatGPT EDU platform helps improve the quality of education, enhances teaching effectiveness, and allows for more efficient use of time.

Participants exchanged opinions and put forward proposals for the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence tools in the educational process at the conclusion of the event.
