We present an opportunity to work at U.S. universities during the 2027–2028 academic year!

The International Relations Department of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University announces the opening of applications for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program.

🎓 Program objective:

The program provides participants with an opportunity to teach Russian as a foreign language at U.S. universities, improve their English, and expand their knowledge of American society and culture.

👤 Who can apply:
* Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
* Permanent residents of KR;
* Applicants who already have a higher education degree or will receive a bachelor’s degree in July 2027.

Applicants must have:
🔹Fluent Russian;
🔹 Confident English;
🔹 TOEFL/IELTS certificate. 

Applicants without a certificate may take a free English-language test as part of the selection process.

🌎 Candidates teaching American Studies, Journalism and Media, American/English Literature, as well as Russian as a foreign language, may also be considered on an individual basis.

💰 What does the Fulbright Program provide?

✈️ International airfare to and from the United States;
🏥 Medical insurance;
💵 Monthly stipend;
📚 Coverage of other program-related expenses.

Notarized copies of diplomas and academic transcripts;
Three letters of recommendation in English.

August 30th, 2026, by 12:00 PM Astana time.

The selection process is conducted by the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan and the Fulbright Scholarship Board (FSB).
