The University and the Gwangju Education Department signed a cooperation agreement

The delegation headed by the Secretary General of the Korean Center of History and Culture under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Korea, Chong Gyeongwon, met with representatives of educational institutions of the city. The meeting was attended by Acting Rector of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University Nurlan Urazbayev.

At the meeting, the head of the delegation from South Korea, the Secretary General of the Center, Chong Gyeongwon, noted the activities of the center and mutual cooperation in the field of education, culture and science, student exchange, cultural ties.

At the meeting, representatives of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, "Kogamdyk Kelisim" , the Department of Public Development of the Kyzylorda Region, the Kyzylorda Regional Public Association "Association of Koreans of Kazakhstan" signed an agreement on the exchange of experience in the field of education and the implementation of joint projects.

The Gwangju Metropolitan Department of Education and the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University have agreed to work on academic mobility and scholarship programs within the framework of the agreement.

Then the delegation from South Korea visited the historical museum of the university, where they got acquainted with the section "Manuscripts and rare books" in the university library. The guests were very interested in rare books and manuscripts in Korean.

The head of the delegation, Chong Gyeongwon, expressed great gratitude to the university, which has preserved and transmitted today the history and manuscripts of the Korean people published several centuries ago, and stressed that he would make efforts to further develop friendship and partnership between the parties.
