The winners of the debate tournament were determined

The debate tournament "Zhastar-Tauelsiz eldin bolashagi", dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan - October 25, was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.                     

8 factions took part in the competition aimed at the comprehensive development of students, their civic activity and intellectual search, the formation of the right political guidelines in society. 

"The main purpose of the debate is to promote the importance of the Republic Day, patriotic education of young people. In addition, increasing the interest of students in the social and political processes taking place in society. The participation of young people in debate games leads to the fact that they develop critical thinking and can express their opinion on any issue in society. The tournament was held in the American parliamentary format (APF)," said Aizhan Orynbasar, head of the "AKIKAT" Political Debate Club.

As a result of the public speaking competitions, the best were determined. The winner of the debate tournament of the "Dream team" faction was awarded a special cup, and the "Smart" faction, which took 2nd place, received a diploma and memorable gifts. The nomination "Best Speaker" was Aiganym Kuanyshbek, the nomination "Best Judge" was Sabyrzhan Kuandyk.

It should be noted that since 2004, the political debate club "AKIKAT" has been working at the university. Departments have been opened in all institutes of the university, 70 students have been registered to date. There are also branches of the club in 20 schools of the city.
