The winners of the new idea were awarded grants for training

The Korkyt atа Kyzylorda University hosted a regional hackathon of IT projects "SMART CITY KYZYLORDA HACKATHON 2022" dedicated to the Republic Day on the theme "The future is in our hands".

Young people who participated in the competition presented various websites, mobile applications, bots and games, robotics products, animation and media in the areas of "Development", "Modeling", "Media&Education".

The competition was held with the support of the akim of the region N.M.Nalibayev, the organizers were KSU "Information Technology Center" and Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University .

In total, about 100 projects were considered. Among the 270 participants are  students of colleges, universities and teachers.  According to the results of the competition, the winners of the Korkyt ata University grant were students of the school №140 of the city of Kyzylorda Aruzhan Kydyrbay (in the direction of "Media&Education"), school №103 of the Kazalinsky district Beibit Rakhimzhan (in the direction of "Modeling") and lyceum school №14 Nurbek Raykhanov (in the direction of "Development").

"I won an educational grant for the IT project competition by presenting the expert project "Biz aitamyz...". The project provides for a meeting with specialists from various fields around legal, social issues of concern to students in the media space. In the future, I want to develop my project and touch on topical issues. The participation of students in a large–scale project is a great opportunity for us," Aruzhan Rustemovna noted.

The winners of the first place in each direction – Oralbek Abdullayev, Adil Serik, Enlik Muratbek were awarded certificates in the amount of 70 000 tenge. Cash prizes and special prizes for the II, III places were also awarded.The total prize fund of the contest amounted to 450 000 tenge.

The winners of the competition were awarded by the head of the Akim's office Shakhmardan Baymanov and Vice-rector for Social and Educational Work of Korkyt ata University Zhandos Bazartai, Vice-rector for Research and International Relations Mainur Buribayeva.

It should be noted that for five years, the University's Entrepreneurship Center has worked with more than 7,000 young entrepreneurs, which contributed to the implementation of 384 startup projects. Earlier, 65,670,000 tenge of investments were attracted to new projects of various directions.

Also, the projects have been successfully implemented on a regional scale "Smart city Hackathon", "PechaKucha Night Kyzylorda", "Startup roadshow", "Enactus Kazakhstan roadshow", "Startup Talapker incubation", the Regional Festival of Innovative Projects "Innofest", "SLL workshop", "SocInn startup", "NoCodeDay", "Open Speech Kyzylorda". In the near future, it is planned to hold a competition from idea to prototype - InnoFest Qyzylorda 2022.
