Startups released eco-friendly product blanket «Аctive seat»

Students of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University have developed environmentally friendly products. They produce an "Active seat" blanket from rice husks.

"Currently, people spend most of their time working sitting down. This can cause serious harm to health and cause the appearance of many diseases. We have started the production of a comfortable and healthy blanket "Active Seat". One of the main components of the product is rice husk.

In our region, more than 100 tons of rice waste are burned in landfills every year. This process has a significant negative impact on both nature and human health. Our project is beneficial both for the region and for residents," said Temirlan Abzhanov, captain of the Enactus Korkyt ata University team.

In the future, startups will participate in environmental and social project competitions. In addition, the project is planned to be submitted to the competition of the national Cup of student entrepreneurship, startups and innovations "ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO".

It is worth noting that the university has an Entrepreneurship Center for the development of entrepreneurship among students, support for new ideas.

On the development of entrepreneurship to date "Startup Bolashak. The projects "Menin armanym", the program "Zhas project", hackathons "HackDay" and "Smart city Kyzylorda" and other large-scale events were organized. For five years, the center has focused on more than 7 thousand young people. To date, 89 resident graduates have left the incubator, a total of about 70 million have been attracted.
