The winner of the "Zhas Electric – 2023" tournament has been determined

The regional tournament "Zhas Electric-2023" was held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. The event was attended by students of 8 institutions of technical and vocational education in the region.

Students answered test tasks related to the profession at the first stage of the tournament. Then they competed in the installation of electrical equipment, first aid to a person who suffered from electric shock. 

- The purpose of the tournament is to improve the professional skills of students, a combination of theory and practice. The regional event has been held at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University since 2021. The university has been training personnel in the specialty "Electric Power Engineering" since 2000. Currently, more than 300 students are studying in this specialty," said Gulnar Sydykova, Head of the Department of "Electric Power, Technosphere Safety and Ecology", Candidate of Technical Sciences.

The winners of the tournament were awarded by a member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Dana Abdrasheva.

According to the team standings, the first place was taken by the team of the higher college "Orda", the second place was taken by the Shieli Industrial and Agrarian College, the third place was taken by the team of the Aral Multidisciplinary College. Also, the best participants were awarded with nominations and presented with memorable gifts.
