Seminar from the world leader in the field of quality assurance of higher education – ASIIN

On April 5, 2023, the university staff took part in the international seminar "The Future of internal quality assurance in Central Asian Universities - trends and answers", organized by the German Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics ASIIN (Germany). The seminar was attended by representatives of more than 60 higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

ASIIN is one of the authoritative accreditation agencies included in international registries and associations in the field of quality assurance and successfully operates in 46 countries around the world.  Universities that have passed international accreditation through this agency confirm the high level of quality of education on the world stage.

Within the framework of this seminar, reports were listened to: Managing Director of ASIIN, Iring Wasser, ex-Vice President of the Technical University of Berlin, Hans Geis, Director of the Strategy and Development Department of the M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University Marina Pogrebitskaya, Representative of ASIIN in Central Asia Irina Efimova.

The speakers touched upon issues related to new trends in accreditation at the international level, approaches to the formation of internal quality assurance systems of the university and the advantages of universities from accreditation with ASIIN.

The issues under consideration aroused great interest from representatives of universities, speakers shared their experience, and also answered numerous questions. Representatives of universities were able to get acquainted with ASIIN Standards and procedures, recommendations for preparing for international accreditation, experience in passing the international accreditation procedure through ASIIN of the M.Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University.

The information received at the seminar will help in further work on the integration of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University into the world scientific and educational space.
