Applicants got acquainted with the project "Serpin"

Representatives of 16 universities of the country conducted information and explanatory work about the "Serpin" project in Kyzylorda. About 500 people took part in the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University in the region. Among them are students and parents, deputy principals of schools for specialized training.

The Serpin program has been implemented since 2014. According to the program, more than 30 thousand educational grants have been awarded to date.This was announced by the chief expert of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Adilbek Mansurov.

- In the 2023-2024 academic year, 3653 grants are provided for applicants.

Through the Serpin project, you can get an education in 4 areas of training. In particular, following specialties: pedagogical sciences, engineering, information technology, agriculture. Rural youth of the Southern region participate in the program. It is worth noting that since 2022, the repayment period of the graduation grant has been reduced from 3 to 2 years. In addition, if earlier specialists worked only in the region where they studied, now they can work in 11 regions," Adilbek Yerlanovich said.

This year, applicants will be enrolled in 18 universities of the Northern region under the "Serpin" program.

Among the representatives of the universities of the Northern region is a doctoral student of the S.Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Bagdaulet Anas.

In 2014, he graduated from school in the Turkestan region and entered the S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University through the Serpin project. A young scientist, employed at the educational institution where he studied, explained to applicants the effectiveness of the Serpin project.

During the meeting, we learned the opinion of the students. Sandugash Nurlanovna from the village of Zhetykol, Syrdarya district, said that she received extensive information about universities in the northern region.

- The quality of the educational institution in education is very important for us. I choose the profession of a teacher of the Kazakh language and literature myself. In the future, through the Serpin project, I want to enroll in the Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov, - said a student of the 11th grade of secondary school  №174 Sandugash Nurlanovna.
