Meeting at Seoul National University of Science and Technology

The business trip of the delegation headed by Akim of the region N.Nalibayev to the Republic of Korea continued with a meeting with the President of Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Mr. Lee Dong-hoon.

The meeting was attended by Akim of the Kyzylorda region Nurlybek Nalibayev, Chairman of the regional maslikhat N.Baykadamov, rector of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University B. Karimovа. In addition, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, together with the vice ministers, added that the initiatives will be supported online.

As you know, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to open branches of the world's leading universities in the country to improve the quality of education. This will allow, first of all, to train qualified specialists and master high technologies.

Korea is one of the leading countries in the field of education and science, biotechnology, medicine, artificial intelligence. The members of the delegation noted the high interest in the implementation of joint projects in the field of education and science.

For the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education between Korea and Kazakhstan, a leading university project on international cooperation has been developed this year. The project was approved by the Government of the Republic of Korea and will be allocated by the Ministry of Education as a grant project worth about 1 billion tenge.

The creation of an artificial intelligence school at Korkyt Ata University within the framework of the project is a great achievement in the field of education not only in the Kyzylorda region, but also in the country as a whole.

As a result, IT technologies, cybersecurity and computer science will be trained in our region. The Akimat of the region, in turn, provides comprehensive support for the successful implementation of this project in our region.

The Governor of the region noted that cooperation between the two educational institutions opens the way to new scientific achievements in the field of education and science.
