Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has entered the most authoritative world ranking of universities QS WUR

On June 28, 2023, the results of the global Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) – 2024 were announced for the 20th time. Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is ranked 1201+ in the world.

This year, 2,963 higher education institutions from 104 countries have been ranked. The rating includes 1,499 universities, of which 21 are Kazakhstan universities.

When compiling the QS World University Rankings, experts evaluate the world's universities according to the following criteria:

• Academic reputation - 30%
• The average number of citations is 20%
• Reputation among employers – 15%
• Employment of graduates – 5%
• The ratio of the number of teachers and students - 10%
• Number of international students – 5%
• The share of foreign teachers is 5%
• International Research Network – 5%
• Stability – 5%

Universities receive an assessment according to each criterion, then a total score is derived from these assessments, which determines the university's place in the rating.

This year, the rating compilers have added three new evaluation criteria: sustainable development, employment and an international research network.

It should be noted that the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University has been participating in this rating since 2014, annually demonstrating a gradual, consistent growth in its positions. Thus, the university was included in the TOP 300 QS EESA, TOP 551-600 QA Asia.

The entry of Korkyt Ata University into the prestigious ranking of universities in the world is a significant event for the university, the result of many years and daily hard work of the entire team. It is a great honor and responsibility for us!
